It’s working!
In 2008, inspired with the blogs of Batangbaler and Batangbalete, I created this blog with the mission of reaching out to Japsons all over the world, share news with them, and share the stories of Japson.
I seldom update it due to lack of time, but it works! A lot of Japson from different locations, some of them I myself don’t have an idea who they are got connected with this blog and gave comments. Here are some of them:

Juanito Silvestre
His name is Artemio which also rhymes with my name Juanito. My last name is Silvestre and I am one of the many children of Leonardo Silvestre Sr. and the deceased Cecilia Japson. I practically grew up with my cousins in Quirino and I fondly remember one summer vacation that I stayed with the Fonaciers due to a broken arm which needed to be reset by a local “hilot”. The lady “hilot” had to pray in Latin before each session and I remember Yabut(he was young then but already showing some wild streaks in his character) used to imitate every word she says and we had a hard time trying to contain our laughter. Those were the days! I haven’t seen him and Boyet for a long time, and I guess we should just accept our cousins as they are. Ading, mabalin aya nga ag-post ka ti litrato ti nakalabas nga reunion? I would appreciate it very much. Regards to Mama Cesar and to everybody there.
Emma Rose Japson
hello sir joselito japson.im emma rose japson, and currently enrolled at uc taking up accountancy. nung first year pa lang po ako, instructors were asking me if i am related to you pero by then, di ko pa alam n topnotcher po pla kau, hehehe, until nabasa ko sa mga bulletins sa my accountancy office.congrats po…gusto ko po sana kaung mameet last testimonial dinner kaya lang di po ako nakapunta. im from la union din po at nabasa ko na originated kau sa sto.tomas la union, at dun din po kami, bale ung lolo ko po is doon kaya na curious po ako. Delfin ang alam ko pong name ng lolo ko, i dont know if that is his real name, bata p kc ako nong namatay sya.at sa agoo kc kami nag stay, hindi sa sto tomas kaya di ko rin kilala mga relatives namin sa sto.tomas,..,gusto ko rin po kc talagang malaman if we are really related to each other, para next time na i ask nila, alam ko n po sasabihin ko. pasensya na po sana. if it is too personal, gusto rin po kasing mag pa advice ung sa mga dapat gawin to pass the cpa board exam. as of now po kc mdyo nahihirapan po ako eh and im third nya.
I was able to meet Emma Rose in Baguio City. Surprisingly, she does not share our color.
And here is the highlight, just recently, certain Jesus Japson Garcia sent me an email informing Mr. Romy Japson that he will vist Aurora Province anytime this June. According to him, he is a first cousin of Uncle Romy. His mother and our Lolo are siblings. We exchanged emails until he was able to contact Uncle Romy and family. Another milestone for our clan. I hope to see the day when all the children of the brothers and sisters of Candido Japson and Juan Japson finally meet each other. That would be a big, big event!
By the way, we are on Facebook! I created a group for Japsons and invited those with FB accounts to join.

I am happy to have found my relatives on my mother’s side. I’ve had contacts with the children of Tio Misyong’ and the children of Inang, Atchie Donata and Kuya Jime, who are both now deceased.
It will be good to see other relatives of my mother when we finally get to Baler this week.
